Types of Misconduct

Misconduct may occur before submission, during peer review, after publication, or in relation to authorship, data, citations, or ethical approval. The journal considers the following practices as forms of misconduct.

Plagiarism

Using another person’s words, ideas, data, or work without proper acknowledgment or citation.

Data Fabrication

Creating false data, findings, tables, figures, or research records that do not reflect actual research.

Data Falsification

Manipulating research data, methods, processes, or results in a misleading or inaccurate way.

Duplicate Publication

Submitting or publishing substantially the same manuscript in more than one journal or publication venue.

Improper Authorship

Including individuals who did not contribute substantially or excluding contributors who meet authorship criteria.

Undisclosed Conflict of Interest

Failing to disclose financial, institutional, personal, or academic relationships that may influence the work.

Reporting Allegations

Allegations of misconduct may be reported by readers, reviewers, editors, authors, institutions, or other parties. Reports should include sufficient information and supporting evidence to allow the editorial team to conduct an initial assessment.

Investigation Process
